CDP Employee Spotlight: Simon Gill

Here at CDP, we will regularly shine the spotlight on members of our workforce to give you an insight into their working day and a little bit about them as a person!

This week we ‘re focusing on Simon Gill, our Business Development Manager based at our London office.

What is your name? Simon Gill

What ‘s your job title? Business Development Manager

How long have you been with CDP? 4 months

What are your main job responsibilities? Customer creation working from a blank  canvas, from the  initial discovery piece to the  on-boarding of a new customer.

What is your favourite aspect of your job? The most rewarding aspect is when you have successfully brought in a new customer and,  by doing so,  helped them with some  process improvements and cost savings  along  the way.

How did you get into the print industry? I started my career working for a paper merchant, so I  was always linked to  the printing industry. From paper merchanting I joined an envelope manufacturer, initially as an account manager and later within  external sales. Print Management started its rise at  the turn of  the century and that’s when I moved into that field.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself: In November  2005 I ran the New York Marathon and came first  in the 6ft 5 born in Swillington West Yorkshire  category!
