CDP raises  £1,400 for charity of the year, Can Cook

At CDP we like to help people do good things. Since 2001, we have raised more than  £70,000 for local charities. This year we are supporting Can Cook, who are behind Liverpool ‘s  Share Your Lunch ‘ campaign and are working to end food poverty in Liverpool.

We will organise a series of events to raise funds for this worthwhile campaign, our most recent was a sporting evening in November with two of Liverpool football club ‘s former sporting legends, we raised over  £1,000 which went towards providing families with a hot meal on Christmas Day.

The Can Cook campaign was established as it is estimated that 60,000  people in Liverpool  have accessed a food bank in the last 12 months. This includes  low-paid workers,  unemployed, the disabled and  those who are sick. There are thousands more families in Liverpool on the verge of food crisis, whose income doesn ‘t allow for fresh food in their diets.

CDP is supporting Can Cook because we believe that everybody should have access to fresh food by choice, regardless of their circumstances. To find out more about CDP and Can Cook events get in touch today.
