CDP supports Liverpool ‘s Can Cook with over 5,000 free fresh meals

Our charity of year throughout this past year has been the Liverpool based charity Can Cook.

Can Cook have been established since 2007 to initially help teach those in South Liverpool who didn ‘t have basic cookery skills; whilst now also providing fresh food to various schools, nurseries, care homes and to individuals.

They have been committed to fighting food poverty; around 60,000 people use food banks in Liverpool within the past 12 months alone. Through various campaigns such as their  Share Your Lunch ‘ campaign, which they have teamed up with celebrity chef Simon Rimmer and the Liverpool Echo, they have managed to help families who ‘s economic situation does not allow for fresh food in their diets.

We ‘ve had an amazing year supporting Can Cook, Robbie Davison at Can Cook on how CDP has helped support Can Cook throughout this year he said

“When a company like CDP  steps up to make a difference to people ‘s lives, amazing things happen. This year CDP donated over  £10,000 which translates into over 5,000 free fresh meals for hungry people. It was the largest single donation we received from any company and it meant that children and families who would have gone for days without food, received good fresh meals instead – it ‘s been such an important gesture and it ‘s made a difference to thousands of people, young and old –  thanks to everyone involved.
