New business strategy for the new year

New business strategy for the new year. Losing pounds off the waistline is a popular resolution after all the excess over the festive period, but what about gaining pounds with your business?

At CDP, we ‘ve had over 40 years of experience and know that proper planning makes for good business. That ‘s why we started working on our 2020 vision over the summer. We thought we ‘d share a couple of tips that we ‘ve learned along the way ¦

Develop a vision

Looking forward is a great opportunity to take stock of where you are and come up with a vision of everything you want to achieve. It could be increasing market share or developing a new product range. This year we ‘re launching some new products, stay tuned ¦

Do your research

  1. Do you have the skills to make the product / offer the service and the motivation to do it?
  2. Does somebody want to buy what you are selling?

If  yes ‘ to both of these questions then it ‘s worth spending time on market research.

Create goals

This is the perfect time to set targets for your business. They might be financial such as increasing turnover/profit, marketing related such as generating more enquiries or even helping social causes. At CDP, helping local businesses and supporting social causes has always been important to us and we ‘re incredibly proud to have raised over  £100,000 since we started supporting charities.
